Originally a private home built in 1885, it was expanded and was called the Kindred Inn, named for its owner and was a popular beach resort. Today the hotel offers turn of the century décor with the rooms on the second floor.
“Charlie,” a Chinese immigrant who allegedly ended up suffocated in a hiding place by the fireplace, is the resident ghost. Since the early 1900s, he is said to wander through the hotel and restaurant. There is also a ghost cat on the premises. Reports suggest that Room 7 may be the most active. The owner, Scott White, has been featured in the media talking about this haunted locale.
