James Joseph Brown bought the house in 1894. He signed the title to the house to his wife, Margaret “Molly” Brown, in 1898. Molly Brown is most famous for surviving the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, earning her the nickname “Unsinkable”. The mansion was sold in 1932 shortly after her death.
Activity: Employees of the now museum report seeing shadowy figures, piano keys moving on their own and the pungent odor of cigar smoke.
